Sober Teens Outpatient Services (STOPS)
Day Treatment for Adolescents (DATA)

Prevention Department

Family Participation is an integral component for successful Adolescent Treatment and is highly sought after by Recovery Center counselors, for adolescents with a history of chemical involvement and addiction.

Good Food = Good Nutrition
Growing bodies and young minds require meals with good, nutritional value, especially when recovering from the havoc wrought on the body by substance misuse. Yet, even given the elevated value placed on nutrition, the Recovery Center recognizes, that especially where youth are concerned, it is equally important that meals remain appetizing, and pleasing to the eye. The Recovery Center has a dedicated, culinary team in place, to help meet your child's dietary needs, and a diverse menu to appease even the most finicky of eaters.  All meals are nutritional balanced, and soup and salads are part of every lunch and dinner.

Sober Teens Outpatient Services (STOPS)

The Sober Teens Outpatient Services offers individualized services for youths who have been experiencing problems as a result of their use of alcohol or other drugs.  Services are also offered to youths who have been experimenting with alcohol or other drugs and/or who are negatively affected by familial alcoholism/chemical dependency.  This is a three-phase program. Family participation is strongly encouraged.

Day Treatment for Adolescents Program (DATA)

The Recovery Center's DATA Program is appropriate for youth aged 12 through 18, with a history of chemical addiction.  Younger adolescents may be admitted when determined appropriate. This program offers the client a level of treatment intesity that is halfway between intensive in-patient care and traditional out-patient treatment, while they embark on a path to recovery that will also facilitate their transition back to their local school districts.

The DATA Program is specifically for adolescents who have not been able to maintain abstinence attending an out-patient program, or for whom recommendation for a higher level of care is indicated based on his/her chemical history.  This setting provides the client with an opportunity to explore "real world" situations and for clients to apply learned skills and behaviors. Clients are given sufficient time to incorporate new identities as recovering individuals with extended support. The DATA Program is a model that successfully reduces occurences of teen relapse.

The DATA Program meets Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and offers group, individual, and family sessions, and elements consists of a didactic/interactive lecture series; recreation; sober living skills; vocational training; stress reduction; and skills enhancement modules.
