High Intensity Program (HIP)

The High Intensity Program was specifically designed for the working population.  This three-phased Evening Program provides an alternative to inpatient care and may also serve as an adjunct to previous treatment or relapse prevention for someone experiencing difficulty.
Participation in the High Intensity Program is preceded by a comprehensive evaluation which includes significant others and provides the basis for and individually designed treatment plan.  Family participation is strongly encouraged and multi-family groups are scheduled.
Phase I - Educational Sessions and Group Therapy, two and a half hours, three evenings per week for approximately six weeks.
Phase II - Lecture, Discussion and Group Therapy, two and a half hours, two evenings a week for approximately two weeks.
Phase III - Relapse Prevention Techniques and Group Therapy, one and a half hours, one evening a week for approximately twenty-four weeks.

Relapse Prevention Program (RAP)

The Relapse Prevention Program was specifically designed  to maximize each participant's potential for recovery, to help individuals maintain sobriety, and to effectively make the transition back to family, work, school, and community.  The program provides a highly effective, individualized form of treatment focusing on relapse triggers and healthy coping skills for managing the new challenges in sobriety. This program is appropriate for individuals who need aftercare treatment following inpatient or other intensive treatment; it is also for those who have had a period of sobriety but are in need of additional support to prevent relapse and sustain recovery.  Both day and evening groups are available.

Enhanced Outpatient Program

The Enhanced Outpatient Program was designed for individuals who have both a chemical dependency disorder and an emotional or psychiatric illness.  The symptoms of one condition may mask the symptoms of the other or even make them worse if both are not treated.  Unless the dual nature of the problem is known and addressed, the individual may find that even after becoming sober, his/her mood remains low or a feeling of anxiety persists.  Effective treatment must recognize and respond to both conditions or the risk of relapse remains high. The program emphasizes development of coping skills and helps clients focus on the positive changes they can make in their lives, ways to avoid relapse.  The program is offered five days per week for three or more hours per day, based on individual need.

Gay/Lesbian Group

We believe that gay and lesbian individuals  have special needs that must be identified and addressed during their course in treatment.  Left unaddressed, these issues may prevent an individual from becoming fully involved in treatment and achieving long-term recovery.  In our program, gay males and lesbians are treated with respect and dignity and are supported as they address these sensitive issues; each member is encouraged to believe in him/herself once again as a positive human being who is worthy of healthy recovery.

The Sober Teens Outpatient Services offers individualized services for youths who have been experiencing problems as a result of their use of alcohol or other drugs.  Services are also offered to youths who have been experimenting with alcohol or other drugs and/or who are negatively affected by familial alcoholism/chemical dependency.   In addition to our Monticello clinic, this three-phase program is also available in our Youngsville Satellite Clinic. Family participation is strongly encouraged.

Family Program

Alcoholism/chemical dependency adversely effects all those who care about the addicted individual.  Family members and significant others have the right to services whether or not the addicted individual seeks help.  The Recovery Center is committed to promoting healing for the entire family.  The Family Program was especially designed to meet the needs of those who have experienced the painful devastation of living with addiction.
